Another drug bust has been made in Siskiyou County. Last Monday night a sheriff’s sergeant on Old Stage Road saw a Jeep with Oregon plates veer off the road into the brush before the driver regained control and kept going. The sergeant tried to pull the Jeep over, but the driver sped up to 90 miles an hour. During the chase, a deputy had to swerve to avoid being hit by the Jeep. The chase went into Mount Shasta City limits and ended at the City Park, where the driver fled on foot. With help from the CHP, 33-year-old Anthony Minneci of Medford was eventually found. He’s on parole and had three felony warrants. The Jeep, which was stolen, contained several hundred M30 Fentanyl pills, 4.4 Grams of Fentanyl powder, almost a Quarter Pound of Meth, almost a Quarter Pound of Heroin, 19 Pounds of Cannabis, 2 loaded guns and a lot of ammo, and $12,500 cash. Minneci was booked into jail on multiple charges.
