A Redding man was arrested after a crash in West Redding Monday night. Just before 9 O’clock, 30-year-old Mitchell Picard was driving a Ford pickup on Loma Street near Caldwell Park when he struck two parked cars and the truck overturned. Redding Police say that when they arrived on scene, Picard was crawling from the wreckage and tried to run away and resisted them. He was reportedly highly intoxicated, and is on felony probation for multiple DUI convictions in Butte County. Picard was booked into jail with a bail enhancement of $50,000.
