Unemployment numbers for Shasta County were released on Friday and in what might be a first ever, the county, state and nation all had an identical jobless rate last month of 3.4%. That’s down from Shasta County’s 4% in April and 6.7% in May of last year. The workforce remained the same month-to-month at 73,400. The county showed year-over gains in almost every industry. Tehama County had a 3.7% rate. It was 3.2% in Trinity County and 4.3% in Siskiyou County.
