The Shasta County Sheriff’s Marijuana Eradication Team made a big bust on Friday. Assisted by SINTF, State Fish and Wildlife and the CHP, the team raided growing operation on private property in the Bella Vista area. A total of 3,009 growing cannabis plants were destroyed and 16 pounds of processed bud was seized. Two guns were also found. No arrests were made but the case was sent to the District Attorney’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office says charges may include felony environmental violations for water diversions and the use of banned chemicals.
