There are drug rehab programs, and then there’s the Good News Rescue Mission’s New Life Recovery Program. It’s a very strict faith-based 18-month residential process with an outstanding success rate. Many, but not all, of it’s participants were convicted of drug offenses and were given a choice by the courts to either complete the program or go to jail. It’s only for men. Women attend the Women and Children’s Ministries House of Hope, which has an equally stringent curriculum and level of accountability. The public is invited to witness some inspirational stories as a graduation will be held at the Crosspointe Community Church on Hartnell Avenue Friday evening starting at 6 O’clock.
