RPD: Man Arrested 13 Times Since March Accused Of Stabbing On Eureka Way

A frequently arrested Redding man has been arrested again, this time accused of stabbing someone. A little after 7 O’clock Wednesday night, Redding Police were called to a Eureka Way gas station after a 40-year-old man was stabbed. He identified his attacker as 26-year-old Phillip Joseph Ault, who had apparently fled on foot. Officers were familiar with Ault and combed the areas he’s known to frequent, finding him near the railroad tracks. He was booked into jail for assault with a deadly weapon. He was already on post release supervision after being convicted of that same charge. Since his release from prison in March, he’s been arrested 13 times in Shasta County.
