Containment Drops On Six River Complex As Crews Strengthen Contingency Lines

The Six Rivers Lightning Complex around Willow Creek has grown to around 34,076 acres. Firing operations were done along Tish Tang Ridge and Lone Pine Ridge to improve contingency lines. There’s also been some slop-over in the Groves Prairie area. The total containment of the complex has been decreased considerably to 54%. More than 1,900 personnel are working the complex, which started as a dozen fires on August 5th. Evacuation updates are at community.zonehaven.com. Federal lands on the Lower Trinity Ranger District remain closed.
