Inmate Who Sparked Fire Inside His Cell Sentenced To 5 Years In Prison

A man who was in Tehama County Jail for DUI and resisting arrest made his situation much more serious when he started a fire. 36-year-old Tyler Sain was in his cell July 1st when a smoke alarm went off. Jail staff found that Sain had hung bedding material on his cell door and lit it ablaze. The fire was quickly extinguished and Sain was found to be in possession of a lighter. He’s been sentenced to 5 years in state prison.
