Multiple drug-related arrests were made by Redding Police over the last several days.
The biggest bust was made from an investigation by the RPD Bicycle Team about Fentanyl deliveries in Downtown Redding. 34-year-old Tara Detrant of Anderson was pulled over Thursday and a search warrant was served on her car. Officers reported finding 10 Ounces of Fentanyl.
Saturday morning an officer talking to 62-year-old James Jackson of Montgomery Creek said he saw paraphernalia so he searched and reported finding Heroin and a semi-automatic rifle, which Jackson is forbidden to own because of a prior felony conviction.
During a traffic stop Saturday night officers learned a driver, 42-year-old Jason Horner of Red Bluff, is on post release supervision and had two outstanding warrants. While he was being detained, officers say they saw the passenger, 31-year-old Ranae Torres, throw a plastic container into the back seat that contained 4 ziplock bags with a Quarter Ounce of Methamphetamine, several Grams of Heroin and a Gram of Fentanyl. Officers say a safe under the driver’s seat had 3 Ounces of Meth, over 2 Ounces of Fentanyl and a Quarter Ounce of Heroin.
At 3:23AM Sunday officers found 31-year-old Shawn Carbin in a parked Impala at the end of Palisades Avenue and learned his license is suspended, so they searched, reportedly finding Heroin, Cocaine and a loaded handgun.
