Record breaking temperatures Tuesday reached 108 around the Six Rivers Lightning Complex in the Willow Creek area. Clear skies allowed aircraft to assist ground crews as they continue to strengthening control lines in the extremely rugged terrain. Widespread use of drones are allowing fire officials to monitor for hot spots. The complex has burned 41,296 acres, with 79% containment. Evacuation updates are at community.zonehaven.com. The complex started as a dozen lightning-sparked fires on August 5th and they’ve merged into two fires, the Campbell to the north and the Ammon to the south.
