Man Suffers Stab Wound During Home Invasion In Tehama County

A Tehama County man was the victim of a home invasion, carjacking and kidnapping before escaping with a stab wound, according to the sheriff’s office. Just after 4 O’clock Sunday afternoon deputies were called to a home on Rawson Road. Scott West said three people had come into his house armed with knifes and handcuffed him. They stole several items and then took west in his own pickup truck and drove around Tehama County for several hours. Eventually his captors took the handcuffs off and West was able to escape. The sheriff’s office believes one of the suspects is 36-year-old Ruben Banuelos Jr, but they don’t know the identities of the other two. West’s truck is still missing too. It’s a brown 2016 Chevy Silverado with plate number 1-6-7-1-8-Z-1.
