Man Found Hiding In Dumpster After Lengthy Pursuit Sentenced To 1 Year In Jail

A 36-year-old man has been sentenced for a dangerous high speed chase that went through several Red Bluff neighborhoods on an otherwise quiet Sunday afternoon. In May of last year officers tried to stop a car driven by Brandon Allen Bacon but he led them on a lengthy pursuit around town before driving through a fence at a church, and getting the car entangled in the chain-link. Three occupants jumped out and ran. The pursuing officer caught one of the passengers and witnesses pointed officers toward Bacon, who was still running away. He was found hiding in a dumpster, almost completely covered in trash. He was already wanted for failing to appear in court on another case in which he was found passed out in a car containing Meth, Heroin and evidence of sales. Bacon has been sentenced to a year in county jail and 5 years probation.
