Bookkeeper Accused Of Embezzling Over $100,000 From Her Employer

A Red Bluff woman did a lot of shopping with money stolen from her Redding employer, according to Shasta County Sheriff’s Detectives. 48-year-old Jessica Andromeda McCoy has been working as a bookkeeper, and an investigation that began in May reportedly turned up evidence that she had been using her employer’s credit cards to embezzle over $100,000 over the course of about three years. More than $72,000 of that was apparently spent on amazon.com, and the rest on utility bills, vacations and other personal expenses. On Friday detectives arrived with a search warrant at McCoy’s home on Terrace Drive in Red Bluff. They reported seizing electronics, clothing, appliances and computer equipment, as well as evidence that McCoy may have embezzled from previous employers. She was booked into Tehama County Jail.
