A Redding tattoo parlor owner accused of dealing drugs out of his Hilltop Drive shop has pleaded guilty to sex crimes with an underage girl. 45-year-old Donald Frederick Stroud of Jones Valley was arrested in February after police served a search warrant at the Royal Syndicate Tattoo Parlor on Hilltop Drive and found Methamphetamine in various places, packaging material, paraphernalia and a large amount of Cannabis. Police had seized his cell phone and also found evidence that Stroud was having sexual relations with a minor. During a search in September at Stroud’s home on Lamoine Drive a false compartment on a piece of furniture was found to contain a 9 millimeter handgun and 2 Ounces of Meth. On Wednesday Stroud pleaded guilty to sex with a minor, creating child pornography, possession of drugs for sale and other charges. He was immediately sentenced to 13 years 8 months in state prison, and will be a registered sex offender for life.
